Since the NFL began itâs current public service announcement reagarding Domestic Violence, there has been a noticable increase in domestic violence prosecution nationwide. Cases that may have been plea bargained down from a felony to a misdemeanor or a simple battery offense are now being prosecuted as a felony domestic violence offense.
Health Maintenance Organizations in California are now having their professional staff trained in domestic violence batterersâ intervention facilitator certification. In addition, the California Department of Rehabilitation has now approved Batterersâ Intervention Facilitation as an approved course for rehabilitation clients who are being retrained for jobs in domestic violence counseling.
The Arizona State Supreme Court is now carefully monitoring batterersâ intervention programs in Arizona in order to assure that providers are certified to provide course content to teach equality in intimate relationships.
