During the 1970s, I participated in the passage of California Penal Code 1203.097 and .098 as the representative of the California Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
I later published “A Ray Of Hope”, a fifty-two-week client workbook for perpetrators of intimate or family violence. Currently, Probation Domestic Violence Monitoring Units in all counties are operating without a curriculum.
Workbooks, as well as pre- and post-assessments. Mandated clients are failing to spend two hours per week without any structure or material that is related to person-directed violence in initiative relationships.
The governor’s office has ordered all programs to improve their record-keeping and other aspects of these programs. However, there has been no mention of the new equipment for providers with an evidence-based model of intervention for mandated domestic violence clients.
In my opinion, organizations that represent victims of domestic violence must request an update from the state on the current status of
Changes in response to the state audit of these programs.
Many defendants are failing to complete these programs with consequences.
I am a long-time advocate of Emotional Intelligence Assessments, curriculum, client workbooks, videos focused on self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, and civility.
