CEU Certified Batterer's Intervention Group Facilitators

This 16-hour training is crucial for you, Certified Batterer’s Intervention Group Facilitators. It’s designed to elevate your understanding of the critical elements, enhance your skills and knowledge in the field, and, ultimately, your professional value.

Effective communication and reflective practice skills:

1). Facilitators should be trained to communicate effectively with clients, community members, and other professionals. They should model self-awareness, social awareness, self-control, and relationship management.

2). The training will focus on evidence-based group intervention curricula to enhance Emotional Intelligence skills. These are not just theoretical concepts but practical tools that you, as facilitators, can confidently implement in your interventions. You will learn to use structured behavioral techniques effectively and confidently, such as assertiveness, impulse control, reality testing, and problem-solving.

3). Facilitators will have access to an extensive video library during and after this training. In addition, The Contrasting Wheels of Behavior from The Anderson & Anderson APC Emotional Intelligence Client Workbook “Gaining Control of Ourselves” will be used during this training.

4). Emotion regulation and perspective-taking will also be covered. The training will teach facilitators how to help participants develop skills in these areas, which are essential for reducing interpersonal violence.
